Samsung tab vs note

My partner has a galaxy phone and I want to get him a tablet for his birthday. Any advice. I think I want a ten inch one.

    The note 10.1 will be a higher end device compared to the tab 3 10.1 but both are very good options just depends on how much you want to spend and what he will use it for.

    I just upgraded from a Galaxy S2 to the Note 3 and it's great! Spendy but worth it.

    LOL i'm clearly technologically challenged. I was thinking cell phones, not tabs. Though I did learn that my phone is called a "phablet" -- hybrid between a phone & tablet :-)

    Am I correct in thinking that the main difference is the Note has a pen and a better camera.

    MMmmm I love Samsung!!!! I don't have the Note or the Tab, but my son was comparing them both at Costco a few weeks ago. The guy that worked in that department was very helpful with explaining the differences. If you're near a Costco, It'd be worth checking them out.
