Struggling to meet calorie goals?

Hi everyone. I started MFP on 10/14. At first, I thought there was no way that I was going to be able to keep my calorie intake below what I was alloted. But this week, I have found it hard to eat enough to hit my goal (1930.) Does anyone else have this problem? Or do you just simply eat even when you are not hungry. It is not like I am purposely trying to stay under, but I am only eating aroun 1200-1300 a day. I just do not want my body to metabolize at that intake.

My goal is 1650; I've had days where I'm at 1100 after dinner and very full.
There's a lot of reasons why physiologically you might be full on little calories, but it often has to do with the types of food. High carb foods or foods with sugars tend to fill you up the least.

The number one biggest reason for missing calorie goals - too high OR too low - is poor planning. The days where I was too low were because I grabbed a quick snack for breakfast, and had a light lunch.

If you punch in what you plan to eat for tomorrow, even a rough estimate, you can often see where you might be over or under your goal for the day, and adjust accordingly. If you plug in meals, and are at 1500 calories, you can get the extra 450 quite easily from a small handful of nuts.

I struggle sometimes not to exceed my goal. I generally eat too much fat like mayo and cheese in addition to eating things like spouted wheat bread. I definitely could make better selections, but in days I am cutting it close calorie goal wise I try to increase my exercise to compensate.
