Hello:

I need to lose wight. I have high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and I'm not getting any younger. I've gone off and on exercising and eating healthily. At the gym, it's been months since I've been, I usually did the nautilus machines, and the elliptical machine. Cardio is a problem for me, however, I'm on the following BP meds: Amlodipine (Norvasc), Hydrochlorothiazide, and Olmesartan (Benicar). When I over exert myself I get light headed. When I test my BP it drops 80/50 ish, and it stays like that for an hour+. I did T-25 with my husband once and I could almost not stand and the room was spinning.

Am I the only one who's experienced this. I need to lose 50+ pounds. The sleep apnea wont go away, but the BP may (genetically my family has high BP)

Perhaps look into a good strength training program? Light aerobics may be an alternative for you. Keep your HR about 50% of max, or whatever you can handle. Also, if it's about having your HR accelerated over a period of time, look into High Intensity Interval Training. Of course, you should discuss all of these with your doctor.
