I'm on my last week of Insanity before recovery week and I feel like I'm not eating right to loose belly fat. I've only lost about 1/2 and inch on both my waist and stomach since I started the program. I've tried following the nutritional guide as closely as possible, but I'm not sure I'm eating correctly. I have a hard time eating 5 foods a day to reach around 1,900 per day. One of my biggest dilemma is about how many carbs, proteins, and fats I should be eating per day to start getting thinner. I've been doing around 40% carbs, 40% proteins and 20% fats, but I don't know if that's beneficial. I'm really confused right now, so I really hope anyone gives me advice. Could someone give me an idea or a guide of how I should be eating even if it's not by following the insanity nutritional guide to start losing the belly fat??

Hi
One of the hard truths of losing body weight is that you can not spot reduce.
As far as daily calorie goals, I hope this link may be of help

There are sections for calorie and macros objectives.
If you can not follow Insanity nutrition guide, then do not. Evidently it is not for you and your lifestyle. Try to find a way to eat your favorite foods ( or a healthier version) and still eat at a deficit (calories ingested are less than calories burned).
Good luck in your journey0 -

I generally followed the nutrition guide - not the recipes but the 40/40/20 and the 5 small meals thing. The book calculated 1800 for me but I thought it was a huge amount, so I dropped it to 1500. I found that 1500 gave me enough energy to do the work outs but enough to maintain a deficit. My suggestion is to play with it a bit - drop it a few hundred and see how you feel. Don't be too drastic, however, because month 2 is MUCH harder than month one and the workouts are longer. Most people see the big results in month 2.
Congrats on sticking with it so far and KPP!0
