Back fat

Curious if anyone has any advice for getting rid of back fat. I've lost just over 20 pounds in the past month and have fortunately lost it pretty evenly throughout my body, by eating right and working out regularly. I'm happy with my results so far, but I noticed today when I was wearing a fitted knit shirt that my backs not looking so great just under the bra line. Any advice on specific exercises to add to my workouts to tone this area?

You can't spot reduce fat. It will come off wherever it wants, as it wants.

    x2.

Continue with a calorie deficit, and be patient. It'll come off sooner or later.

You could try to do some back exercises, but that would only strengthen your back and make the muscles stronger. It wouldn't make the fat go away, but it would potentially make you feel better about the fat that's still there. Other than that you can't target specific areas.

You can try to hide it for a smoother appearance under clothing. Try some bras with a wider band, like 4 or 5 hooks. The wide band can help hold in and smooth out the fat.

I didn't notice a big difference in my back fat till I had lost 30 - 34 lbs, personally. Wide bands were my best friend.

Thanks, I've already had to buy some new pants and shirts because I didn't have clothes that fit. I don't really want to invest in new bras until I get a little closer to my goal, but that's good advice. Hopefully when I get there it will be a moot point :-)

You might not have as much back fat as you think - I would suggest getting fitted again for a bra. I saw an article on that somewhere (sorry can't remember where) that a lot of the time it's just the girl's bra isn't the right size and they showed them wearing their regular bra, then with a newly fitted one. It really was amazing the difference it made.

eta: looks like I posted at the same time as you and the other lady about this - sorry!
