Well, I cleaned my counters with soap and water and not with househole cleaner. We are going to Breakfast at the zoo. After to the grocery store. Taking my own bags.
Have a great earth day

Not to be pain, but technically earth day is Tuesday - the day after Muir's birthday. I'm sure most places are celebrating today.

Does that mean we have to turn off the computer and mfp?

I'm making more of an effort to conserve energy at home. I don't run the AC during the day, I open the doors and windows to let fresh air in. I also switched to compact fluorescent light bulbs (haven't bought a light bulb in 6 months!)

That is STRANGE.. I was in Atlanta visiting family on the 29th of March. They celebrated Earth Day that night and had everyone in the area turn out their lights from 8 to 9pm and all that jazz.... Google even participated and made the screen black instead of white.... I am SOOO confused!

To help the Earth, low energy light bulbs are installed throughout the house. Surprisingly, they lowered our light bill from $230/ month to $145/ month. They really work even if you have to spend about $5 per bulb!!

Take care all and help the Earth!!

That was actually a different thing from Earth Day! I know what you are talking about. They wanted everyone turn off lights, esp. unnecessary ones starting at 8 pm. Even big buildings like the Sears Tower and the Opera House in Sydney, Australia dimmed their lights.

It was called Earth Hour and was a special thing to get people talking about global warming.

Now that the snow has melted, I am seeing just how wonderfully our earth has been taken care of! It's disgusting, how hard is it to wait until you get home and use your garbage can and recycling bin? It especially makes me mad because on Tuesday, our children who are probably not even close to half of the problem, will be out there digging in the ditches, picking up all the lazy people's garbage. This year I'm not gonna watch, I'm gonna be out there helping out!

I KNOWWWWWWWWWWWW,,, that is my worst pet peeve, listen to this little tale,
one day i was walk back home and i see this women take the last cigarette our of the pack and then trowing the pack on the ground, when there was a bin 2 meters away !!!!! 2 meterssssssssss
i couldnt believe it, i stoped, picked up the empty pack shaked it in front of her face then put it in the bin, the whole time i was fuming but i never said a word, people are incredible,

i was quite proud and couldnt believe i had done something like that. i hope that she was ashamed of it and never put anything else on the ground again.

anyways, for earth day i wasnt sure what do to, we already use the minimum lights as possible and they are all energy saving, i never use chemical cleaning products, im vegetarian, 95% organic food and cosmetics, dont use tested on animals products, this time of years we dont use heating and we dont have a/c, always use my own bags at the store, i recycle as much as possible, we dont have a car, so i kinda ran out of ideas.

    Happy earth day anyways
