Nutritionally Mixed Up

I honestly feel nutritionally mixed up. I have PCOS and hypothyroidism. Two conditions actively working against my ability to lose weight. Couple them with fairly often not-so-good dietary choices or inconsistency as well as discipline issues - I am just having a rough time.

I have tried at least 2 different nutritionists and 2 different dieticians with failing results that were just very costly to me.

I am frustrated by the abundant lack of definite answers to how to eat when you have one doctor saying eat low carb and another (gastroenterologist) saying eat high fiber. Then I have deal with IBS symptoms and the fact that my weight and PCOS makes me have borderline cholesterol numbers.

I am tired of the game I play with myself, and I apologize for my initial exasperation. I am so tired of myself and this game I play to beat PCOS. I sometimes feel resigned to give up.

So.. this brings me to post here.

I need to figure out a daily diet that can achieve my specific needs for higher, lean protein, lower carbs, more fiber, and low fat. While I don't have a big a problem as someone vegetarian/vegan with celiac's ...I still feel very frustrated.

Can anyone offer suggests or share their daily diet?

Thanks for listening!

Lynn

Luckily I am just hypothyroid. Read through the recipes in the Bode by Vemma (Chris Powell's carb cycling) program. I did not buy any of their products but the meal plans and recipes gave me lots of ideas to lower my carbs. I now eat most of my carbs in the morning and stick with meat and veg for lunch and dinner (for the most part). I also use some of their low carb snack suggestions. Good luck :flowerforyou:

Well, I understadn that all those restrictions make it difficult.

Carbs and fiber tend to go together - fruits and veggies, and wholegrain breads and rice.

Lean low-fat proteins are chicken breast, white fish, cottage cheese.

    How are you with eggs?

Thanks Lizzy and Melanie for responding. I do fine with eggs. I don't have any food allergies per se, some sensitivity towards certain foods like raw veggies or gas producing vegetables, etc.
