From today and On.. I AM NOT BUYING...

Any more pants... Seriously... This is probably going to be my motivation. I have 1 pair of jeans now that fit and only fit because their the stretchy elastic ones.. I have... about 12 pairs of jeans.. I am sick of blowing money every other week to buy a pair because recently boughten pairs stop fitting.. I still have pants from 5 yrs ago (Pre pregnancy) that I am aiming to fit once again. Last week me and my boyfriend were getting ready to go out together to a dinner.. and i opened up my closet.. so much clothes i have.. and i would say out of 100% maybe 5% actually fit (shirts wise) and my 1 pair of jeans.. and a few stretchy comfy pants. I cried and cried..

I will lose 60 pounds...i will i will okay rant over

I have been where you are. I had huge bins of clothes in all sizes. I am finally down to about 3 bins....and almost everything in them fits me. I still have a couple tops a couple pairs of jeans that are too small. But I donated SO many clothes that no longer fit....and what a great feeling it is to do that.

You WILL do it. Just take your time with it. Don't be in a hurry. Slow and steady. It comes off permanently that way. Keep those too small jeans nearby. Hang a pair on your bedroom door. Keep looking at them and think of the day when they will be on your body instead of on a hanger. And think of all the money you will save, too. ;)

That's exactly what I did. I decided when I started losing, I would not buy anymore clothes. As things got too big, I got rid of them because I was determined to not look back. You can do it!!

Im currently down to only 2 wearable pairs of jeans and 2 work trousers, every time I go to the shop to buy more jeans I talk myself out of it because in 6 months i could be another 2 stone lighter and another pants size smaller and don't reallt want to spend £60 on a few pairs of jean that won't fit. So im putting of buying any more trousers/jeans till its absolutley necessary im people are just going to have to get used to seeing my in the same 2 pairs for a while.

I did a huge closet purge a few weeks ago as I was putting my summer stuff away. I sorted my jeans into three piles: can wear now, can wear in a few pounds, will get back into eventually (tucked that pile away to try again in a few months). I also bagged up a whole bunch of old smaller clothes that are an old style or a cheap fabric. I only kept the too-small clothes that I truly didn't want to part with, and put them into the bottom of my dresser. It made things a lot less overwhelming and depressing for me. Everything currently at hand in my closet fits me as I am right now. There isn't a big selection to choose from anymore, but there's also no more crying in front of my closet because nothing fits.

As I lose weight, I cycle out things as I outshrink them and add in "new" items from the in-a-few-pounds pile. Now I'm just buying what I absolutely need to get me through the gaps in my wardrobe. I'm also spending more on accessories, since I'll be able to keep wearing those at any weight.

Just think about how good it will feel to slowly start adding things back into the can-wear-now pile and purge the larger items out of your life, and tell yourself you absolutely can do it!

You WILL do it. Make sure to fit some exercise into the mix. I really didn't feel the weight loss in my clothes until I did some steady exercise ( 4 X a week at least 20 min.). It seemed to firm everything up and my clothes fit better.

Oh I have been there. That is one reason why I started this journey in January. None of my clothes were fitting me and those that did just looked terrible and frumpy. Make yourself a plan. Start logging everything, move more and before you know it those clothes will be too big on you. Then you'll be fussing because you can't afford new clothes (that's where I am right now) Sometimes we need to shed those tears to kick us into doing what we have to do. Surround yourself with like minded friends on here who can support you when you struggle and encourage you along the way. We have all been there and you can move past this and become the new healthier you!!! Friend me if you would like to :)

I'm a Maxxinista. I'll buy intermediate jeans every time my current size starts too look unacceptably baggy. I want my newly small bottom to be visible in my clothes, after all.

I have been where you are at. The summer I decided to change my life I only had one pair of shorts that fit me and it was because they had an elastic band. I refused to buy the next biggest size because I did not want to admit that I was a size 18. I made small changes in my diet and started walking the very next day after my crying breakdown and have been going strong ever since.

You can do this! You will fit into more of your pants in shirts in no time if you are determined to change your life. :flowerforyou:

I agree, don't spend "real" money on new clothes right now. But, it can't hurt to paw through a second hand shop and pick up a few cheapies that will stay put for a bit. I'm just all happy I had a pair of pants actually fall off this weekend. I may end up wearing the same thing for weeks but by golly the blubber is shedding!

I go to goodwill and other cheap consignment shops because I have literally bought a skirt and the next month it was baggy..who can afford that? I currently have 1 pair of dress pants that fit perfect and the rest are baggy in the *kitten* but I cannot afford to keep buying clothes..I have two pair of jeans, one that fit well and the other that need a belt...its real tough but in a way, a great NSV for when you start losing...before you know it you will be outgrowing the clothes that you find too small now...chin up girl...its a journey and with each pound you will feel fantastic!
