Dropping the last stone

Hello MFP,

I'm not new here. I've been on MFP for nearly 3 years and had great success dropping from 196lbs to 136lb. I'm small (5ft2 and petite) and I have a lot of fat left on me. 136lbs is the borderline weight for me between healthy and BMI overweight.

Why I'm posting?
I'm looking for some more friends who help push me to my final goal. I've done so well but need some more people behind me to get me to the end. I'd love to have some fresh faces on my news feed.

About me.
I'm fun, enthusiastic and a supporter of people. I like to run and cycle and I have learned I need to stick to 1200 cals to lose weight. I live in the UK.

    nobody? :(
  • You are doing great. I don't do much "friend" things but I do like to respond when a post hits me. I am also 5"2", 53 yrs old so I am supposed to weigh around 105-110lbs. I got to my goal weight by weighing every day, logging food and exercise. I maintained for about 6 months and then stopped logging in and reading these motivational posts. Voila - 10 lbs crept back on. I am now back on track. I know you can lost the last of the weight. One thing I noticed is at the lower weight, my thunder thighs actually went away. With the extra 10 lbs, they thighs came back and the new clothes did not fit.

You have inspired me to get these extra lbs off!!!

Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!!!!

(greetings from the cold state of Ohio)

Well done on losing 60lb you must have worked really hard to achieve that. The last stone is always the hardest and slowest to come off as I found myself, I took up running to help get rid of my last stone which helped loads but your already running and cycling so that is no help to you, maybe you should consider training for a triathlon to help keep up your motivation. I found over the years that if I only consentrate on the food side of it without something exercise wise to keep me motivated I would give up before I got to goal.
I'd like to wish you luck with losing the last 14lb and would be happy to cheer you on through to goal if you would like to add me as a friend.
A little bit about me, I'm 56, live in the UK, lost 50lb over a 2 year period and have been maintaining for the last 13 months. I love running and cycling and enjoy entering 5k and 10k races , I'm still trying to pluck up the courage to enter a half marathon. I'm planning on cycling the coast to coast cycle route form Morcombe to Bridlington in August .
