Should meats, beef, chicken, seafood, etc be weighed prior to cooking or after ?
Not a huge difference I'm sure...just curious.

Before unless it specifically states a cooked weight. Cooking removes water mostly so there are too many variables of weighing after cooking based on the method used.0

I weigh after mostly because it's just not practical to weigh many things before. For instance I don't cook a chicken or a big piece of salmon in nice little single serving portions. I could weigh it before but I'm not eating the whole chicken(hopefully!)0
