Finding the edge of a roll of tape; YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!
Here are some quick and easy ways to find it without going nuts.

STEP 1: Run your finger around the roll in both directions and feel for the edge. If this works, you're done.
STEP 2: Put a bit of flour or chalk dust into a cup or small container.
STEP 3: Dip your finger into the cup or container.
STEP 4: Run your floured finger around the tape. The edge will quickly show up as a white line.
STEP 5: Wipe your finger clean. Proceed to use the tape as required. Easy!
STEP 6: On light-colored tape, try running the flat side of a pencil point around the roll, instead.0 -

What's even more infuriating is when you have a wife that NEVER puts things back in the same place twice, so when you REALLY need a peice of tape you can't even find the roll of tape to infuriate you in the first place.0

Oh my god hahaha. So have I! I even went with wood glue to put papers together and then disguised it with a messed up paperclip so it didn't look "so tacky" lol.

My wife has solved this problem. She just uses a WHOLE fricking roll on each present. Makes for really long time for trying to get to the present.
Sigh
I beat that by asking for online gift card. Figure she can not tape those up. Then just starting thinking that she will most likely tape up the computer.
