Any swimmers out there?

I swim 2-3 times each week as part of my overall wellness routine. Since recovering from a shoulder injury I've focused more time and attention on improving my swim workouts and techniques. Would love to connect with other MFP swimmers to exchange ideas about how to keep swimming fun and fulfilling.

I swim 3-5 days per week. What keeps me going besides the fact that I love to swim is an annual goal in miles that I am working towards.
Also trying to improve my form and speed. Took some lessons a couple years ago from my swim coach and using the Total Immersion training DVD's for technique.

    Friend request on it's way.

I am a very casual swimmer, and was swimming laps 5-6 times/week regularly up until a couple of weeks ago when I tried Zumba (now I'm hooked!) I still swim once or twice a week because I find it very calming and meditative compared to the impact & fast pace of dancing.

There are swimming groups that you can join if you search under the community tab. They are clearly people who swim, or used to swim competitively. I found them to be very hard-core, elitist & not very friendly/welcoming to a beginner like me, but whatever... I quit the group after trying to engage in the forum conversations & getting shut out a few times. If you want to post your times & get ideas for intense workouts, you may find it useful & they may be more accepting of you.

    Feel free to friend me!
