How do I determine the calories for a recipe that doesn't have the values listed on it?

I'm a little unsure what you mean by this. If you use the recipe tool on MFP, you should be able to add the ingredients you're using and the amounts to get the values for the recipe.0

Use the recipe feature. Add all the ingredients and how many servings it makes. MFP will calculate nutrients per serving0

the "recipe" tab is the 5th choice along the bar under the "food" tab0

Ah excellent. I didn't realize that the recipe tool would do that. Thank you!0

Stupid question but how do you know how many servings it is? What determines a serving size? I made a turkey vegetable soup in the crock pot but I have absolutely no idea how to determine these things.
Pound of groud turkey
Bag of frozen mixed vegetables
Half a bag of frozen corn
Water to make it soup

You can measure out & determine your own personal preference of serving size per recipe. Measure it out the first time you make it - then save it as a serving size in your recipe & then will have it for future meals. You could also measure it out in containers per serving so it will be ready for leftovers. I know this takes a little time, but it's worth it.0

However many servings you divide it into is how many servings there are. It is easier when you are making something like a chicken dish, probably the number of individual chicken breasts will determine the number of servings. With something like soup, it probably makes 6-8 servings. What I often times do is estimate that I think it will make 8 servings, then put in all the ingredients, see how many calories per serving it ends up being, and then decide if I can eat a larger portion. Then I either put into the diary that I ate 1.5 servings of that meal, or else if everyone is eating a larger portion, I go back to the original recipe and change the number to 6 instead of 8, especially if I have divided up all the leftovers and determined I really did get 6 portions out of it. Note though, if you have already added it into your diary with the total calories from the 8 serving estimate, it won't recalculate the calories if you change the recipe to a 6 serving meal. You have to delete the food from your diary and re-enter it, going forward it will now be the revised amount. Hopefully that makes sense...

Thanks! That is exactly what I needed to know.0
