Time to Introduce my self

I have been lurking here for several months. I started using the Iphone app just to make better choices when eating. It is an excellent tool for this! Now this site is a big part of my overall plan. I have tried just about everything but eating right and getting plenty of exercise. In January I finally started exercising. I hated it!! The only way I could exercise in the past was to either find a job that was strenuous or play a sport that I loved. I now exercise in the most boring way, a Treadclimber, but I love it. I also do some weight training but nagging injuries hold me back a little. In March I got serious about my diet as exercise alone did not give me the results I needed. I basically just portion control and eat whatever I want. I just stay with in my limits. I have lost more than 40 pounds and am just five from my initial goal. I will not stop there as I will still be overweight, but realistically I think I will only be able to loose another 10 - 20. I feel better, I am better. My lifestyle is very sedentary but working out has made a difference in my everyday. I look forward to meeting more of you as I continue on this journey toward fitness. When I was young I was part of a group of triathletes (I never competed we just trained together) I am beginning to think those days may return.
