Sugar carbs? Food logging?

Is there a way I can change the nutrients on my own food log. For prepackaged foods, I only want to track the sugars part of the carbs. I don't want to change the food item in the site-wide log.
So for my Balance Bar, it has 20 total carbs, 4 are fiber, 12 are sugars. If I want to ONLY count the sugar carbs, can I change that in my food log?

You can install this greasemonkey script:

First install the greasemonkey addon to your browser. Then install the script. It will automatically add a new column to your diary called "net carbs".0 -
Net Carbs? Isn't that carbs minus fiber? She only wants to track sugar.
At the top of My Home, go to Settings. There you can choose all the macro and micronutrients that you want to track.0 -
Net carbs are different, I think,
Oh well, thanks.
I'll just keep it oen and paper if it bugs me enough to obsess over it.0 -

Why are you even interested in tracking that?0 -

Sugar is sugar...0 -
I have seen where people have set up a special meal category for either "natural sugars" or "added sugars" and listed foods that contain one or the other there.
For example, they would put a glass of milk or an apple in the "natural sugars" meal, then subtract that from the "total sugars" to get a rough idea of the added sugars.
The complication comes from the fact that some foods may contain both added and natural sugars (spaghetti sauce comes to mind). Also, the question of where adding natural sugars to recipes comes in... honey is a natural sugar, but if you add it to a recipe as a sweetener, would you call it "added" because it doesn't naturally occur in the food you are cooking?0 -

No, I think she wants to track sugar carbs. Meaning she wants to track carbs but not include fiber, just sugar. This is pretty standard for people doing low carb. The instructions I gave will allow her to do that.0
