Which C25k App and why?

Looking for opinions on C25k apps out there. I am an Android user, if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance

I use the one from Zen Labs (the one with the breast cancer logo). It is free and has voice alerts so you know when to start and stop each part. It also shows at the top what the day entails and keeps timers for elapsed overall, remaining overall, and current segment remaining. They have a great community on their FB fan page that I love to read success stories on for motivation. I can immediately share my completed workout on FB or Twitter. It also has an option for MFP, however that has yet to work for me.

My fiance and I are on week 4 of C25K and surprised at the progress we've already made in our running goals. If you are just starting out, good luck! I can't wait to run my first 5K! And just to think 4 weeks ago 60 secs of running was more than I could do is crazy as this week we are running 5 consecutive minutes with less and less walking in between and by the end of next week, we should be up to 25 whole minutes of straight jogging. INSANE!

I was about to download and app on my iphone and saw so many options! The Zen Labs one seems to be popular based on my message board search on MFP

I also use the Zen Labs app, but if you get a phone call or a txt while using it it sometimes gets boogered up and quits and you have to start over and fast forward through the minutes to where you were in your time. That is a bit annoying.

I'm an andriod user and I just started the C25K app with the breast cancer ribbon on it as well. It seems to be great and Iove the sound it makes to let you know when to start jogging and when to start walking. Give it a try you may even surprise yourself

I used a podcast instead of an app, specifically the (C25K)5K101.com one. Only issue with that is you have to listen to their music during the run, not music of your own choosing.

Couch to 5k by The Active Network is a really good one... The running club in my town uses this one when we start up all together or even when you are on your own...It can track your miles if you have it up with your gps... you can have it post to your facebook... I haven't tried any others but I really like this one

I use the RunDouble app. It has all the features you'd expect - voice alerts, interval alerts, GPS integration with stats and maps, post to Facebook, twitter etc. It has some quirks - I've known the facebook update not work one day and then post twice the next - but I like it overall.

It's also got MFP integration but I've not tried that.

I will second the RunDouble app. It is free for all of the above features but also includes a paid version that includes a 10k trainer and various 5k improver run set ups.
