frustrated!!

Hi all, okay, so here is what's happening.

About May, I started my journey to change my lifestyle. So far I've been very sucessful. I started at 250lbs and now I'm hanging around 190lbs. I'm very happy about that. But here's the kicker. I've been stuck here now for 2+ weeks fluxuating between 193-190lbs. I broke 180s a few days ago but i'm back up now.

A side note: I'm recording my weight everyday because I want to see (at the end) the median fluxuations. I'm a bit of a numbers nut. But I do know that you retain water and go up and down. As for my weekly weigh in, last week I was 191lbs. This week I weighted in on Monday at 190.4lbs. Great right?

I started doing keto which I stopped because I had complications (kidney stones) so my doctor told me to stop it. So I'm still eating relatively low cal 1200cal, 50carbs/40fat/40protein. I was exercising, but I kinda put that on hold for a bit due to a microfracture in my right knee which has been incredibly painful.

My BMR: 1600, so I figured at 400 cal deficit would be enough to drop at least 1.5lbs per week. But I'm not seeing it. I will open my diary. I've had some bad days the past week or so but I try to be honest about it.

I don't drink soda, I try not to eat to much sugar, I don't eat too much bread or starch. I try to eat protein and veggies.

I'm trying to change my diet back to more regular foods. But I think keto might have damaged my metoabolism or something since now it seems like I can't really deal well with carbs.

The problem with keto is you never really learn how to eat right. I'll admit. I'm not sure how to reapproach foods which were originally not allowed. Is it okay if I eat bread? How much is too much? Fruit?

Any help or advice/crit always welcomed!!

How long ago did you quit the Keto? Low carb diets tend to drop off more water weight than traditionally calorie counting, and all of that get replenished when you eat more and your body replenishes its glycogen stores. It's very possible that you're just seeing some fluctuations in your water weight now that you're incorporating more carbs again.

also, your macros should add up to 100% 50/40/40 means something is off with your plan. It might be time to reevaluate.

You don't eat under your BMR, you deduct from your TDEE, much different thing. BMR is calories to survive in a coma.
