I'm 26 years old.
260 Pounds
5'2
and not very active.. I work out 4/5 times a week for 40 min (Treadmill or similar)
No health conditions
I find myself going over calories by about 300 ... Is this going to stall my weight loss?
Any advice would be great- Thank You

At your size, you should still be able to lose weight eating 1600 calories a day. Eat your exercise calories, too, and you should be fine. Has it stalled you yet?0

Well.... My dirty little secret is: I have been doing this for a little over 3 weeks...and have yet to step on a scale... so I would not know if it has. ; (0

I don't think it will hurt you. In my opinion, that calorie limit seems too low if you are just starting out. If your body is used to eating for example, 2,000 calories every day I think you would see results if you just cut down a few hundred calories. Then, if you hit a plateau you could cut a couple hundred more to shock your system. But if you start out super low and then hit a plateau you will end up having to only eat around 1,200 (or less) which is way too low if you are exercising. Since you are exercising 4-5 times a week for 40 minutes your body needs fuel. A lot of people on here will eat most, if not all, of their exercise calories back. Another thing is if it doesn't have enough fuel (food) your body may start to hold onto fat because it will think it is in a survival state.0

I figured your TDEE to be 2578 so even if you took 20% from that it's 2063 (exercise calories are already factored). I would think 1600 calories would be OK. How are your clothes fitting? Getting looser or tighter?0

Good to see you upped it from 1200 and even if you're going over a bit it's probably still closer to where you should be. Funny how you swore last week that you live on 1200 religiously and there was no problem with that!0
