It's not for everyone, but for those of us that have dropped very large numbers and we choose to do it, so be it!:flowerforyou:

Everyone will have their thoughts on what is right for them, with all my hard work, I am most definitely rewarding myself with 'excess skin removal' surgeries. Being diabetic it's unhealthy NOT too. There are other health risks that can occur with excess skin after weight loss as well.

Without having been someone that is larger and then loses a large number of lbs. perhaps it's not an easy thing for some to grasp. For others they know exactly how it feels to look forward to something like this a year or two after goal weight. Not an easy process to go through, but well worth it for the self esteem boost, eliminating health risks etc.:flowerforyou:
  • If I lost a large amount of weight I believe. I am sure it's very painful but after all that hard work I would always see the excess skin and not be as happy. Some of the scars looked pretty rough but that looked like relatively new surgery in most cases and I think I would still opt for a scar over the excess weight.
  • I had a tummy tuck back in 1996 and accidentally had 2 pregnancy's and have put on a large amount of weight since then, but the hard work was never undone, I still have a flat stomach although Im a large lady I do not have rolls of fat or skin Im just a heavy person I guess

I see nothing wrong with having cosmetic surgery to fix the skin problem. It's your body, your money, your self esteem..no one can judge what's right for you but you. If it makes you happy then do it!
  • How much does something like that cost? I will probably need that since I've lost 55 pounds so far and have another 100 to go.

I can't even get those links to work......but I know that if I end up with a ton of dangly skin left over I am so having a tummy tuck, arm lift, breast lift etc.....what ever is needed to restore my body to something I am comfortable with.
