The newbie to the site

Hello everyone!
I searched many sites to be a guide to my weight loss, and this site seemed to be the easiest to follow.
Let me start by saying that I recieved my BS degree in Nutrition, so I know what I should/shouldn't eat. I have a very strong background in the subject and was always surrounded by a healthy lifestyle growing up.
Ok, here is the funny thing. I have always been not the skinny type. I was chubby growing up and it really began to hit me and affect my self-esteem when I came to high school. I was always playing sports, even in middle school. But how I seemed to gain the weight, I don't know. So my after my sophomore year, I wanted to make the varsity volleyball team, so my Mom and myself opted to go on a diet. In one summer, I lost 25 pounds. I came back to tryouts that fall and busted my *kitten* to make the team, which I did. The coach was so proud my weight loss, and it was the weight loss that made an improvement in my ability to get better at volleyball. I continued on and lost another 35 pounds. Which then brought me to 190lbs. my junior year of high school. I was happy with that weight (being at 5'9''). My father and brothers had the athletic body and were never skinny, so we were genectically predisposed to having large frames.
So I came to college and gained the infamous freshmen 20+. Arrggghh, so my sophomore year, I did the same diet and lost the weight again. I don't know what it was about the sophomore years. Anyways, I began lifting weights and it made a world of difference. I continued to work with a trainer to learn the fundamentals of weights and then began making my own workouts.
I graduated college and got a job right after graduation. Within the next year, with stress and working long hours, I lost about another 10 pounds. The lowest I have ever been is 180. Now that I am 26 and still in the same stressful and long hour days, I am finding that gaining weight has become "easier" and losing it has become "harder" than it was when I was 17 and 21. Also, the older I have gotten, the more I have filled out in my hips and butt. Men don't complain, but I am not used to having a bubble butt :-). I have increased to 203 and I know I need to really up my cardio to lose this weight. My ultimate goal is to be at 170.
I am a strong woman, in that I have been able to squat 225 pounds and bench about 100+. I have sculpted shoulders and the "softball" legs as my Mom likes to call them. Let's just say that I carry 203 well.
I currently spend about 4 days lifting, but I am going to change that up soon and get back with a trainer.
So I look forward to making new friends on the site and hearing the motivation from others. I will also root for people as well who are struggling like myself.
Until next time, happy exercising!
