Breaking through the plateau

I've officially hit a plateau and have stopped losing weight. I'm currently at a healthy weight, but I would love to lose a couple extra pounds. Any advice on how I can break through this plateau???

Heavy weights and I found with my last plateau (I am about 9 lbs from maintenance) that this plateau was caused by not eating enough with adding the weights..so i bumped it up and lost weight the next week..0

At the moment, I'm only cutting calories from my diet. I do no exercise really apart from everyday stuff, like walking into town or around campus etc. Whenever I hit a plateau, I just go hard at exercise for a week. I make sure I swim every day, even if it's just for half an hour, and make sure I'm more active like going for long walks whenever I can. This seems to break through the plateau and I start losing again0

How long have you been at the same weight?

I would suggest changing the type of exercises you do, how long you exercise per day, how many days per week weight training if you do any.0

Thanks for the advice guys! Since I don't have the right weights at home to keep my workouts effective, I've decided to start doing Insanity workouts...we'll see how that goes haha0
