Polar ft7 problems anyone else?

I've had my polar ft7 since April of this year but probably didn't start using it until May. I would always rinse it before and after my workout.

About last month in October it started saying check heart rate transmitter and my heart rate would be 00 and i would adjust it and it would work. That worked for like a week but then it wouldn't work no matter how hard i adjusted or even if i wet the strap again.

I did some google searching and people said to wash it every 5th use but it seems now that i did that it doesn't want to work at all. Others said it could be the battery so i ordered a battery for the transmitter(since it said check transmitter) on amazon it comes in tomorrow and hope that will solve it.

Anyone else had these problems ? What worked for you?

I just decided to not use a heart rate monitor. Strangely enough, I still lost weight!

It's really all estimates anyway. I like to fly by the seat of my pants.

Never had that problem with mine but more than likely it is the battery.
  • That happened to mine a few months ago too and I just put it aside to replace the battery someday. Life got in the way though and it's sitting somewhere collecting dust now. I'm still going though. :)

Change the battery. You can buy them at any drug store or Wal-Mart. They're about $7 for a 2-pack.
