my arch hurts sometimes?

it has only happed once this week, but when im running i feel this burning sensation in the arch of my right foot and i have to stop running for a min or two. Once i go back to running it hurts maybe for a second then goes away. I USED To have a bad run, i was running with my heels, now i run and land on the balls of my feet. Since i have started my new way of running this arch problem happens sometimes and its out of nowhere. One second i am running fine and the next thing i know BAM the arch of my foot feels like its ripping or something? it burns, and then its gone. This does not happen a lot. Maybe once a week TOPS, so what is it? Should i tape my arches or something? this used to happen when i was younger and it track. Along with my ankles giving out. my ankle gave out once in the past week and it hurts, i think i just need more muscle still? i have really long legs for my height and my calves are medium sized but my ankles are small. I have always had week ankles, the only thing that really got them strong ( from what i noticed) was when i was ice skating. i will be ice skating soon since its almost winter, i love it and its a great workout but my weak little ankles suck.. SO should i tape up my ankel and arch? or what?
if it helps at ALL i am slightly knocked kneed, it’s not really that noticeable but i do have it, does that effect my run?

Make sure you're wearing good shoes for your foot shape. Not every brand is created equally, so you need to find the right type of running shoe. Also make sure you have good support. What kind of arches do you have? Are they high or flat...? Collapsing your arch can be really painful, and you probably need to add some inserts.
If you have weak ankles, you might want to look into ankle wraps and possibly some for your knees as well, any kind of added support should help.
It is also super important to pay attention to your strike pattern whether you're running, jogging, or walking. Don't strike straight down, don't run on the balls, don't run on the heels... when there's pain in the leg, my doctor told me I should strike heel, arch, ball. It should be very smooth and not like you're stomping the ground to death.0 -
Look into buying new trainers or supports0
