I agree that cutting it up will ultimately taste better, with each slice having the best ratio of coatings to apple (delicious). That's just my opinion.
This is my thinking as well.
And like someone mentioned above, you won't end up with just apple.0 -

I love carmel apples, but I think I always enjoy them more when I cut them. You get a better balance between apple and coating, IMO

^The perfect ratio would be achieved by eating the chocolate off the apple and giving the apple to your rabbit or something.0

My vote is you have self control and don't eat it all and just throw it out! That doesn't look very healthy!
