Hey Ladies & Gentleman..

My name is April. I am 27 years old from Indiana. Happily married, approaching my 2 year wedding anniversary. My husband and I have been together for 7 years. I am here to finally battle my weight problem. Something that Ive been struggling with for a long time. About 10 years ago, I lost quite a bit of weight, and then my life changed. I was stuck between my parents as they had split up, and I was stuck in the middle. My parents separated then divorced. I was still in school, I was failing classes, and eating excessively.. Shortly after, I got used to everything. I started losing weight again. I did alot of walking ALL the time. Met my husband in 2003. ABout a year after we started dating I started gaining a little bit of weight. Got comfortable with being in a relationship and quit caring. I stayed at the same weight, gaining and losing here and there. In 2005, my father was diagnosed with Bone Marrow Cancer, and died July 31st. After he died, I lost my job. I slept all day, sat at the computer, ate excessively. I didn't care what happened to me. I tried to commit suicide. I got out my rut, but Ive gained love 50 pounds since my dad died. Im the biggest I have been my entire life. Although 300 isnt that big compared to some people. I am here to get past all of what has happened and to become a healthier person. I am trying to minimize the chance of getting the illnesses that come on both sides of my family. I would like to meet some amazing people along the way. This journey is a life long battle, and I am not giving up. In June, my sister got sick, and almost died. Since then, I have lost 19 pounds. I am proud of that weight loss since June. I have been using MFP for the past few month, off and on. I can see how it helps. And I want to continue using it. I am about 40 pounds away from my mini goal. I can't wait til I reach it. Looking for some people to share this experience with.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Welcome to MFP! Though it seems the road to get here was a sad one, I hope you continue on with your journey!
