Hey! I'm a n00b on the boards (today!) and am also looking to build friends and aquaintances on MFP whom I can both help and help me to be motivated, and focussed! I'm in the UK, have been using the MFP website and app for over 12 months now, and started serious weights and cardio training this June. I now do badminton and may be looking to running at some point (I HATE running!), Insanity training and hopefully working my way up to an Iron Man next year. I've been blessed with genes that have meant I'm not massively overweight, but I was pretty sedentiary for the last three years and recently decided it's time to get back into shape. Anyway, I love cooking and am now getting a bit obsessed with the science of dieting (I'm a card-carrying geek!) but I'm not afraid to have a splurge now and again (It's Chinese-and-wine tonight!) but am now used to making the 'healthier' choices (plus get my butt to the gym beforehand!)
