What have you done today?

Ok so I am just getting started I know. Usually a Friday consists of a full English breakfast, a kfc meal for lunch and a Chinese takeaway and if I am truly honest snacks in between. Friday used to be my worst food day - every week more or less.
Today I decided that I would go to Mcdonalds for a coffee with my friend after I dropped off my daughter at school. We were both hungry and decided to eat there. Today I decided to have a snack wrap rather than the full size wrap.
Instead of junk for lunch I cooked a breaded chicken steak from my freezer and had that with a big plate of salad dressed with vinegar and a large glass of water instead of a can of cola. Tonight I have decided to go for a slow cooked beef casserole with lots of veg and maybe a dumpling instead of my usual egg fried rice, satay chicken, sweet and sour balls and chilli beef with pancake rolls.
This might not sound like a big deal to you. For me this is huge. It may not be the best choices I have made but they are better choices. I have started to realise how I feel after each of these choices. I feel stronger. I feel like I might actually have a chance at getting healthy! I feel better.

avoided eating more icecream and cookies!! But unfortunately that pales in comparison to how much junk I ate last night.0
