MFP works for me!...even when not on MFP?

So I started MFP cause at 168 lbs, I couldn't bend over and get the papers for the cop who'd pulled me over for speeding (thanks for not giving me a ticket after I started crying). It was hard to get in and out of the car. I was doing pretty good, exercising and eating on the plan. I had normal hiccups and what not, but losing slowly and surely, like I'd gained it. At about 149 I started getting tingling in my hands and feet (something that had happened before for a non-connected reason) then pain. I gave up on a lot of things, including working out. However, though I left MFP for the most part, or at least wasn't honest, I still noticed things. I noticed the butter the restaurant added to my potatoes, and the labels on the backs of foods. And Coke, well even off MFP that was a no-no. And out of habit, I put Almond Milk instead of full fat creamer in my coffee as well as bought more fruits and veggies at the store.

Well could you imagine that this morning, I put on my jeans and belt and for some reason my belt fit through the loops funny. That is cause when you use the fourth belt loop instead of the third the end is longer. Now I haven't been losing like I would have if I'd stuck with the plan, but I'm not gaining, I and I know it is possible as a lifestyle. And now that the doc has figured out a med for me, I think I might start working out again. That and actually logging on MFP will have me svelte in no time at all.

You go! I don't always remember to log either...or I do part of a day and forget dinner. I am sure if you went through my diary you would find multiple days where it looks like I am eating way less than I should. But you are right...even without remembering to log this got me started on an important journey. I now plan most of my meals out in advance and know that even if I don't log them, I am still eating healthy whole foods and they fit within my calorie allotment..

No matter what you are taking the steps to get healthier. IMO it isn't just about losing weight...it is improving our bodies on the inside too so that we feel better!

Keep it up, even small steps are are forward progress!
