Really dumb question Re: Running

Tomorrow's high is 35. It will be about 30 when I go out. I want to go for a bit of a run/walk/jog whateveryouwannacallit and I have NO idea what to wear. What do you wear to be exerting energy in that type of weather. I have yoga pants but it sounds cold...but sweats sound hot once I warm up...what about tops?

Help a common sense challenged lady out here...

Wear layers and adjust as necessary.
Dress to be comfortable if you were walking around the temp was 15-20 deg warmer
    Windy? precipitation chance?
Here in CO if it were clear and sunny and 30, I'd wear shorts or maybe thin running tights, a long sleeve tech Tee over a short sleeve tech tee, or a tech tee under a 'running shirt' (thinnest fleece pullover you can imagine) with thin knit gloves, possibly a thin beanie.
If its cloudy and high humidity or snowing, or windy, Id wear thin tights, SS tee and a wind-resistant jacket. same knit gloves, possibly a beanie.

Once it's in the 20s or teens I wear some lightly insulated tights, a LS tee under a wind-resistant running jacket, and maybe upgrade the gloves to something more than knit. Definitely a beanie.

Layers. First layer should wick moisture (not cotton!) Top layer could be a light jacket or wind breaker. you can add a light, long sleeve shirt as well if you are worried about being too cold. Bottom usually isn't as much a problem because legs stay warner. Yoga pants are ok, or get some running tights and a pair of shorts if you like. If running, it will feel warmer than it really is, and if you wear layers, you can tie them around you waist if you get too warm. Have fun!

I wear what I think will be comfortable once I'm running. It's better to be cold for a few minutes in the beginning rather than sweating later. I hate having to take stuff off and try to find something to do with it. Give some thought to your ears too. I find when it's cold and windy that it makes my ears ache if I don't have some kind of hat or headband over my ears even with my earbuds in.

Thanks guys! I have a long sleeve very awesome at wicking away light wool top that sounds like it should be ideal for my base layer.
