I have been going back and forth between becoming a nurse or a dental hygienist, and was hoping somebody on here may be one of the two and could offer some insight:

Is Nursing or DH a good career choice to pursue in 2013? Is it hard/easy/normal to find a job?

    My daughter is an oncology nurse. (Australia). She recently was successful in applying for a new job but there were A LOT of applicants. Do your research thoroughly, talk to people in both professions. The region you live could have better or worse prospects of employment, depending on it's economy. I don't imagine dental hygienists would have to work shifts, which may or not be a big deal with you.
