Hello,
I think the most important thing for a weight loss journey and a healthy life style is eat clean, do exercise and be and feel happy with us!
But sometimes a little extra help is good! At moment we see lots of supplements that promise lots of things, some that help, others don't.
So, i would like to hear from you, what supplements (not brand just the active principle. fo exemple: CLA) that really work in a weight loss journey, how did you take, what was the results you did see?
Thank you

There is no such thing as something that will make you lose weight other than eating at a deficit. Anything else is just throwing away your money.
Supplements to help up your protein or vitamin intake though, sure. Anything else isn't worth your time/money.0 -
Supplements don't make you lose weight and you don't have to eat "clean" to lose weight.0

Nor do you HAVE to exercise (not saying you shouldn't, of course). I eat the hell out of some very 'unclean' foods. The weight will drop as long as you're eating at a deficit. It's really that simple0

I take a multi-vitamin because after several weeks of tracking my diet, I realized that I wasn't getting enough of certain nutrients. I could have eaten more veggies instead and drank 16 oz of milk a day, but eh.
But to more directly answer your question, OP, there is no weight loss panacea supplement, and unless taken by direction of a doctor they are a waste of money.0 -
if there was a miracle pill we would all be thin. the only FDA-approved "safe" pill that wont potentially eff with your heart rate and nerve function has made people *kitten* their pants (Alli).
ill take a calorie deficit and hard earned exercise over self-induced skidmarks.0 -
I found it helpful to have my doctor check my nutritional status for various things (vit D, iron, etc). I'm hypothyroid, and folks with the condition are often low or have trouble properly / fully absorbing all of the nutrients from food. In my case, a good multivitamin and some extra vit D on top has really helped me feel better. I figure if I'm now "normal" nutritionally, that helps everything else work properly and makes it easier to lose weight on a normal deficit.
Unless you have a nutritional deficiency, though, I don't think there's currently any good evidence that specific supplements accelerate weight loss.0 -
Thank you for all your comments.
I'm not asking for a miracule pill, just asking that things can help with food and exercise, for exemple like chromium picolinate that helps in sugar levels.
In my case, and at moment i'm trying to eat more protein because i see i'm eating around 25/35/47g a day sometimes 60g a day, and its low for me, and i really try to eat protein but is hard.
Multivitamin i guess its very important when we do alot of exercise or/and the diet for any reason for some time can't have the vitaminis and minerals daily (goal).0
