The mirror doesn't lie, but I wish it did

haha thx but the wife digs the chest hair... ;-)One other thing that you can do, and ignore it if you choose, but I'd shave that chest hair. I did that in 1997 and have never looked back. It looks so much better and when you start getting some definition it will make a big difference.
If you don't like the look the hair will grow back.
Your wife is a wise woman!0 -
I think you look great. Not flabby at all.0

Just realized that the title of this post could very well be the title of an old school country song. That is all.0

Interesting thread, btw. I generally get freaked out by mirrors in public places, and have been known to jump with fright, at the site of myself...I like cameras, and CCTV. I also like reflections in shop windows...and I try not to look vain, when I walk past to get a look of my handsome walk *cough*0

I see a definite change. congratulations on your accomplishments thus far. as far as taking pictures in front of mirrors in a sitting position--probably not the most flattery of photo ops for anyone.0

Jokeing aside. I generally avoid sitting in those comfy low to the ground sofas, when out as I turn into a concertina. A few more pounds/kilo would definately do the trick. And with time my posture will improve, and as long as I carry on strengthening my tummy muscles with crunches every day, I can with time let go of the bar stool to prop me up, and let go of the tummy tucking bodice to keep my abdomen intact...uhm...that looks weird in written down.0

Generally the mirror doesn't lie, but sometimes--just sometimes!--it does. For your entertainment:

My mirror is a filthy liar, but pictures always tell it like it is. There's definitely a difference in yours.
And chest hair is awesome!0 -
Feeling demotivated today. I haven't gained any weight, but I feel like my body looks flabbier than it did, even two weeks ago. I decided to cut my daily calorie intake from 1734 to 1634 to combat any plateau-ing.

IT is so F***ING depressing looking at my pix from 2.5 years ago at 159lbs when I thought I was 'flabby'. And here I am now at 177, heavier than I was when I started. I need to put down the fork and the pint and stop making excuses for my lazy *kitten*.

..why are you necroing an old thread just to shame yourself? Wasn't the other post enough?
At this point, I think you need professional help on your mindset about weight loss. Clearly it is not healthy when you do this on two separate threads.2 -
Just start again with a calorie deficit and hit the weights or crossfit. You really don't have that much to lose1

Everyone looks flabby while slouching & sitting down. When I was in collage on the competitive dance team with hardly an once of fat on my bones, I still had a roll when I sat down. Don't set yourself up for disappointment with unrealistic expectations.0
