I could use a little help in this area. MFP says I should be at 1230 calories a day but that seems low compared to other calorie calculators I've checked out. I upped it to 1400 but it's still a bit low compare to other sites. I do exercise for 30 minutes a day (treadmill) but have a desk job so I pick sedentary. Here is one example using my own info from http://calorieneedscalculator.com/index.html

Age: 39
Height: 5 feet, 5 inches
Weight: 244 pounds
Activity Level: Sedentary (Little Exercise)
Gender: female

Basal Metabolic Rate: 1831
Calories needed to maintain your current weight: 2197
Calories needed to lose weight: 1447 - 1697 (calorie deficit)
Calories needed to gain weight: 2697 - 2947 (calorie surplus)

Does anyone know of a surefire way to know how many calories you should be ingesting to lose 2 pounds a week? I'm really getting confused!
