Best Exercises to eliminate man boobs?

Aside from push ups, what would you all reccomend doing to burn fat in the chest area? Running is my exercise of choice, don't have a lot of experience with weights (again I'm focused on burning the fat not building bigger pegs). I'll gladly follow a routine that you all think would be best. Thanks in advance.

The general consensus is that you cannot spot-reduce fat. Keep eating at a deficit, and the fat will come off, but you don't necessarily have control of where it will come off.

Well that's unfortunate. Will still do pushups for good measure :)

Firming up the pecs will generate a more stable base, so that the fat is more supported, hence moves around less. But similar to above, it was probably where I noticed the fat loss first anyway.

Yup. Any exercise is beneficial and will help create a larger deficit!
  • The main thing is to reduce your overall bodyfat and the man boobs will shrink as a result. In general for men fat loss occurs first, furthest from your mid-section (think fingers and toes), and takes the longest to lose from around your waist. So once you start losing fat you should see the moobs getting smaller and smaller.

As for what exercises to do. Push ups are good for strengthening the pec muscles underneath the moobs which will help the overall appearance. And in addition to that, I'd recommend doing a ciruit-training style workout that includes resistance exercises (push ups, pull ups, dips, sit ups, box jumps, lunges, squats, etc...) 30 minutes per day of a mixture of those kind of exercises with little to zero rest between sets will really kick up the fat burning.

Running is excellent too, but it will not help you burn fat as quickly as resistance exercises will.

Hope this helped, feel free to message me if you like.

None of the above. The way to lose broobs is to lose fat - lots of it.

First thing is first, is it pubertal gynecomastia caused by an imbalance of hormones? If so, your 'man boobs' are being pushed up by breast tissue, so you can lose as much weight as you want and they will not go away. To get rid of pubertal gyno, you either have to have surgery or you can wait for them to go (in most cases they go after hormones balance out).

If they're just from being fat, then a caloric deficit with exercise will ensure they go. However, you cannot spot reduce fat. So doing push ups or exercises for your pecs will not eliminate them.

If you're a high body fat percentage but you aren't sure what's what, you could go to a doctor and get their opinion.

They're a real pain to have, but I guess they go eventually.
