Future Military Goals. Welcome to Any and All Requests.

Hello everyone,
My name is Brittany. I am looking for people to add because the benefits of having ANY kind of support group are undeniable, and it is motivating to know we are all on the same boat trying to achieve the same thing. I have used Myfitnesspal before, mostly as food journal, but I gradually stopped using it and never kept up. I am rediscovering this app and would like to utilize every tool that it provides. If you are interested, I would greatly appreciate the add.
About me:
I am a 5'3" female and around 138 pounds. As I stated in the title, I am future military and have some very stringent goals. I have the right attitude and good enough motivation to acheive those goals, but like most people, there are many counterproductive habits that just simply need to be broken.
Diet: I eat well enough, and enjoy healthy food, but I simply don't care about calories. So when I stumble across some cookies(because cookies are oh so so delicious), I rarely think twice about them, and if I do, I get all philosophically hedonistic and be like " but how can I not experience this lovely piece of sweet, starchy goodness and appreciate its existence in all its entirety while I still can because we live such an ephemeral existence...blah blah Sigmund Freud blah. " Or something to that effect.
Food journals appear to help.
Also, I seem to be the only person I know who accumulates excessive amounts of fat due to Frosted Flakes or any other variety of yummy cereals. I even eat them with organic, unsweetened soymilk! ( <)
Exercise: I prefer high intensity cardio, but long, tedious jogs( or walks depending on your level of fitness) can be very relaxing. I really enjoy strength training, but I tend to avoid weights unless doing compound exercises or supplemented body weight exercises. Yoga is always good as a stretcher/relaxer , and I encourage everybody to make it a habit. It is just as, if not more, important to always exercise your mind as well as your body! My problem is that things just "always seem to come up" or I have "better" things to do or i'd rather read or I have homework or any other vague slightly valid sounding excuse I can conceivably come up with. I am currently just working at the moment, but I will be returning to school next semester for my major in Physics, so there will be much, much more time spent sitting and being sedentary very soon...
It is always a challenge to faithfully incorporate new fitness goals into daily routines, but ITS POSSIBLE, AND YOU AND I AND HE AND SHE AND THEY AND WE CAN DO THIS! Everyone has different goals and different struggles, but no matter what they are or how different they may be, we are all here to improve our health, happiness, lifestyles, and selves. Good luck to you all!
Happy Healthy Living, Everyone!
P. S. I have absolutely zero friends on Myfitnesspal.
P.P.S. You can change that.
P.P.P.S. Pretty please.

U might be an endomorph body type that puts on weight fast and has to work doubly hard to burn it off. The other types are Mesomorphs and ectomorphs... check it out, it helps!0

Not really...... You can have what you want - when you want as long as it is in your calories and macros. As a matter of fact, I am having Ben&Jerry's ice cream tonight (my fav).
I am prior Army (female) and if I knew then what I know now - life would have been alot better. Lifting heavy will do what you want (drop body fat - not necessarily weight) and get you in prime fitness. Try logging your regular eating pattern for a few days and see how much you are intaking actually.
I eat 1600-1800 calories a day and am steady losing. I care more about body composition than I do the scale though... good luck in the military0 -
You can add me. I would add you but have no idea how to use this site yet! I'm a veteran, served active duty four years in the Air Force and two in the reserves while I was in college. It was a great experience! What branch of service are you joining?0
