It has come to my attention recently that there has been an upsurge in threads remarking upon attitudes in the forums.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind users that, although this is a community based around self-improvement, it is nonetheless in the Internet. Anyone anywhere can come in and say what they feel. While this may be against the community guidelines and terms of service it is nonetheless a fact.
Consider that at any given second, there might be 1,000 people actively reading or commenting on threads. That one of these people might have a different meaning in what they write than what you interpret is assured. That one of these people is having the worst day of their year is statistically probable.
So please, stop crying, take what you like, ignore what you don't, and model the behavior you feel is appropriate.
In the alternative, I encourage you to go google KKK, hardcore porn, or other terms guaranteed to show you by comparison that this is candy land.
All the best.

I just want to highlight this possiblity because sometimes people will come in here that seem to have nothing in common with this site or it's goals and actually have messages quite OPPOSITE to the supposed goals of people on this site and will sometimes have accounts that are brand new and thus seem as though they may be just bored online and then find a site about fitness and then just looking for people to talk at with talk that is not really supportive or helpful like "Oh really? Well, I've never been overweight", or "when people have been fat they will always be fat", or similar. These types of statements seem neither relatable nor helpful nor motivating and I'm puzzled when I see it and I've seen it more than once from more than one member, so IDK, what that's about. I am fairly certain there are sites for people who are just really into being skinny for skinny's sake and have a tone that might fit these users and I am sometimes puzzled why they don't go seek likeminded friends there who can enjoy in that type of fun? I digress...
I just wanted to warn people of this point extra hard because apparently some people when they go online apparently get bored or something and then go looking to cause hurt and grief or something to others, and just know that's how the world is in general and it's important to know how to protect yourself from these types.0 -
Pew I should have put on deodorant today I smell like a truck stop bathroom, so whats the about the innerweb?

LOL , I used to say "Go on the online".0 -
I think that it is true that people sometimes get too touchy about things so to speak... On the other hand, I can understand the need for people to be careful in what they say online.
Basically, I try not to offend people... But, I make mistakes like everyone else...0 -
Well, thanks. You're so smart!0
