Hey guys! I just paid for a holiday to Lake Tahoe on a snowboarding progression tour. I love my snowboarding and travel and meeting new people so it will be really awesome! Is anyone on here going to be in the area or lives around there? Would love some feedback on the good spots to grab (healthy) food and where to go on a night out and shopping and all that!

First off congrats on the tour! I started riding in 86 when the only way you could get in some turns was to hike or go to one of the two mountains that let you do it during night skiing. Amazing where the sport is now!!
Tahoe city(north shore) is very laid back area. Pretty much every restaurant will have healthy options and everything from sushi and vegan to burgers and BBQ. Nightlife in Tahoe city consists mainly of bars, Pete & Peters, Rosie's and lake side to name a few. Lake side does have DJ's and dancing. Shopping is mostly tourist type stuff but the village in squaw valley has some good shops my wife likes.
I don't know much about south lake, I've never been very fond of it over there, too many casinos and tourists. I think I only went over there half a dozen times in the six years I lived in Squaw Valley...
Enjoy the experience the locals in Tahoe city are great, always helpful and love our Aussie & Kiwi visitors ????
