Since starting mfp, I've added an hour walk to my daily routine, and lost 19lb so far.
Now I want to start using weights to get a bit of definition.
I don't have access to a gym, with proper weights, just a set of dumbbells.
Whats the best way to start out?

You can do a million and one things with just dumbbells.
Assuming you have decent weight range on your home dumbbells, I'd personally I'd start learning the bigger compound movements first and add an extra movement to that muscle group, then add exercises as you go.
 4 sets of 10-12 reps
 Chest:
 Bench press with Flyes
 Legs:
Squat (with DB's, hold them at your side) & Lunges
 Back:
 Deadlift and DB Rows
 Shoulder:
 Shoulder Press and lat raise
 Arms:
Bicep curl and tricep kick backs.
It's basic but covers all muscle groups.
Loads of exercises on the bodybuilding.com database etc. Plus, for form; YouTube is your best friend. (plus a mirror)0
