Can you sprint faster on a caloroc defecit?

Hey i am currently doing intermittent Fasting and i want to get faster, i am aware that you cant build muscle on a defecit, but can you build fibers? Especially the fast ones? I used to be pretty fast but i trained for distance and got slower and being fast is in my genetics so if i sprint tran, would the speed naturaly cpme back quicker than someone who wasnt fast in the first place? At least one explained answer would be very much appreciated, thanks.
