Trying to let my ankle heal and I'd like to do some cardio stuff, but I'm at a loss. I can lift weights but need to do some cardio stuff too (at least I feel like I need to). I don't have access to a pool or an elliptical. Does anyone have any cardio tips I can do while trying to let my ankle heal. Thanks!

Are you able to walk? If so, that will have a fitness effect. In fact, there are programs built around walking and lifting heavy things that work quite well. See Primal Blueprint at Marks Daily Apple for program that worked very well for me when I couldn't run.

What about boxing? You don't need an actual bag, just continuing to move and punch air should get your heart rate up.

Thanks for both replies, I will check them both out. Good ideas, I didn't think about boxing either!
  • Did you try DDP yoga? I lost 4 kg since I started, slowly, but everybody says I am looking so fit, lost tons of cm on waist. Got more muscle strenght and growth than contours (gym for women), walking or water sports. Mostly not running or damaging the joints (though some positions could be challenging for a weak ankle). I am doing it and it helps a lot. But you would need a cheap heart rate monitor to insure you are doing it properly. :)
