Nervous about tomorrow!

I usually go home for lunch during the work week, and I do really well! I normally have a turkey sandwich and some pretzels (or something similar). I average about 500 cals for lunch.
Anyways, tomorrow I have to go to a mandatory lunch for work (11-1). They told me that pizza and water will be provided. I instantly got worried. Pizza is a lot of calories for lunch, not to mention the soduim! I retain water easily, so that sucks. Bringing my own lunch isn't an option either.
So what should I choose as a pizza choice so i feel full until dinner time? How many slices?
Of course, if they have salad to go with the pizza I will choose that...

Normally, I wouldn't worry too much about going over 1 day in calories, but I went over on Saturday by 500 calories, and I don't want to do it again so close together!

You'll be fine. Just work out some extra to cover for it.

You're probably going to be limited as to what kind they provide and might not have much for choices. Just have a slice or two and call it good. Hopefully they will have salad.

I don't think it will really hurt you, just limit yourself and you'll be alright.

eat two pieces and that's it. depending on the size and toppings it shouldn't be anymore than 600 calories. i tend to nix the crust and just stick to cheese.

You worry too much - luckily you know your options ahead of time. 2 slices of cheese pizza (large Papa Johns) is 580 calories. That's only 80 more than your regular lunch. You'll be fine. Eat what you want; water retention is temporary.

I had two slices of pizza for lunch, plus a piece of that cookie pizza from Papa John (which is delicious, if you're wondering). I'll just have a light dinner. No problem.

One slice of cheese pizza is generally 300 calories. Pepperoni is generally 350-400. You can have one slice and be satisfied OR have two slices and chug more water on that day, and exercise a little extra. You can make it work.

I've learned to not worry so much when you are going to have a meal that you cant really control. Some examples would be when a spouse or other family member cooks, when you go to someone's house, or a situation like yours. You'll drive yourself crazy if youre too strict with your diet. Its ok to get off track sometimes.

Ah, no worries. Same thing happening to me today. Boss just emailed to tell us it's company founding anniversary and pizza is on the house. Life happens, we work around it
