Do you add the 500 calories for exclusive BFing as a negative calorie food? Or do you bump up your goal?

I found that putting my goal as maintaining my weight gives similar calorie count as putting losing 1lb per week but then adding in the -500 calories as a food.

Is there a benefit to one method over another?
