Finding the right amount of calories>

Okay, so using tdee I ate at 1700 and lost a few pounds to reach 158 but summer came by and I was impatient so I dropped to pretty much 1400 calories and I hit a wall at 153. So I took advice and upped my calories back to 1700 and my result was an unbelievable increase in my appetite and I was constantly thinking about food. Fast forward I'm 160 today, I have no idea if it's water weight but it's here. I got a new job as a waiter and it stress me out a lot and It tires me out, requires a lot of walking/etc. Anyways, I try to stick to 1700 but I can't for some reason stop thinking about food and this job makes me want to eat a lot after work. Anyways, should I just up my calories to 2000 and see how if the scale will move down again?

It sounds like the job is the culprit - when I am tired and stressed out my appetite soars.

You might want to try and find something to do that is soothing and restful, take 30 min and meditate, or sleep more, or listen to music or take a bath or something that will help you feel a little pampered. Also, are you skipping meals while you're at work? I know that job doesn't come with a lot of breaks. Try to get food in you on a nice, regular basis so you don't wake up the hunger monster.
