Am I eating too much or too little?

I'm a dude 18 5'7

Okay, so using tdee I ate at 1700 and lost a few pounds to reach 158 but summer came by and I was impatient so I dropped to pretty much 1400 calories and I hit a wall at 153. So I took advice and upped my calories back to 1700 and my result was an unbelievable increase in my appetite and I was constantly thinking about food. Fast forward I'm 160 today, I have no idea if it's water weight but it's here. I got a new job as a waiter and it stress me out a lot and It tires me out, requires a lot of walking/etc. Anyways, I try to stick to 1700 but I can't for some reason stop thinking about food and this job makes me want to eat a lot after work. Anyways, should I just up my calories to 2000 and see how if the scale will move down again?

Why not? Try it for a week or two and if it doesn't work drop it back down a few.

I know that, for me, I've had to play with my caloric intake several times. Every body is different and not every body loses weight at the same caloric level as everyone else. Depending on genetics, your daily activity level, the workouts you're doing and the food your eating, your caloric intake for fat loss is going to vary. I know it's hard but try to be patient, play around with the numbers and you'll find what works for you.

Also keep in mind that for every 10lbs you lose or so you'll have to readjust your caloric intake!

    Does that make sense?
