I want to lose weight, but love my curves right now!!

So I'm currently about 230 lbs and 5'11. My ideal weight is somewhere between 160-170.
I've recently cut out all junk food and soda and started eating a healthy lean protein diet and limiting my calorie intake to 1500 a day. The main issue I have with working out, is I don't want to lose the curves I already have. Ideally I would like to keep my chest size where it is (I'm a 36D) and go down a few dress sizes (I'm currently a size 16) while still maintaining the curves in my hips and butt area, just toned (Think Kim Kardashian and Scarlett Johansen). My question is, is there anyway to try and keep a feminine shape without getting all gym bunny/overly toned looking? I like the softer, feminine toned look. Should I be focusing more on cardio, strength training or a combo of both to achieve this look? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I agree with you. I want to keep all my curves but feel better in my body. Can we have our cake and eat it too?0

Do both strength and cardio. Strength training will help keep more muscle as you lose fat. Muscle is what will keep you firm. When you lost fat you'll be saggier if you also lose a lot of muscle.
The overly toned look usually comes from dropping BF very low. If you have fat over your muscle, you'll have a softer look. So, just aim for a healthy but not low BF and you should get the look you describe.0
