I am rejoining MFP today! Several months ago I used this great tracking tool and lost 15lbs in just 2 months. Not being involved with the community, I slowly got off track and stopped tracking - therefore, I gained the weight back plus a few extra pounds. I get bored with grilled chicken breasts and having to cook for a husband and an 8 year old (which is new to me - been married with a child for just a year) I use the same old meals ... I need NEW, FRESH MEAL IDEAS! Please help! I want to stay on track this time! I'm doing this for life and I have a long journey ahead of me ---> 100lbs to lose!

I have a board called Tried & True: Recipes I've Actually Made. It is NOT all healthy but a lot of it is.

My dinners this week are: steak fajitas with refried beans, pork chops with steamed squash and couscous, steak, sauteed zucchini/onion with fried rice, usually do breakfast (pancakes, bacon and eggs) one night and then pizza.
My breakfast is an english muffin with egg, cheese and meat (bacon, sausage or canadian bacon) - all made on Sunday and reheated daily. Lunch is homemade greek salad with black bean and chicken soup, snack is greek yogurt with frozen fruit. Again, all made on Sunday, just grab and go.0 -
I use food.com often. You can sort the recipes and find quick, easy and healthy ones.
I made the top rated taco soup in the crock pot yesterday and oh my goodness was it tasty. With the ingredients I had it was 250 calories for 308 grams of soup.
I've found it much easier to lose weight by keeping the mindset that I CAN eat anything, as long as it fits in my calorie goal for the day. No one else in my family of 5 is trying to lose weight. I just eat less of whatever I serve than they do.0 -

I live and die by my slow cooker. It doesn't get much easy than having dinner ready when I get home from work
It also helps to sit down on the weekend and plan your meals before grocery shopping. And if you can, chop veggies and cook meat ahead of time to make everything easier on yourself in the evenings.
Here's my meal plan for this week:
Breakfasts --
frittata

(I added some maple turkey sausage)
Lunches -- I typically make sandwiches or take leftovers.
Dinners --
