Hello all,
I'm new here. I was doing pretty good with my diet and exercise and then about a month ago I lost all motivation to work out. Not working-out caused me to not eat very well. Then Halloween came....... and the kids each got a bucket full of deeeelishes cant and my fiancé decided he was going to get the neighborhood kids all the good chocolates, so now we have a kitchen full of almond joys, kit Kats, reeses ect.
I haven't stopped indulging. I'm not sure how to get out of the rut I'm currently in. I need my willpower back!!!!!
Anyone else struggling with willpower??

I can't say that I have experienced that struggle with willpower as I have always found alternatives.
Kit Kat? Protein bar.
Almond Joy? Coconut flakes
Reeses? Peanut butter / almond butter on a piece of celery.
It's not so much denying yourself things to eat, it is channeling that desire to eat into something less painful to eat. When you have the desire to eat then eat something. Just redirect that eating urge to something that isn't Halloween Candy. Oh, and have your fiance take the Halloween Candy to his place of business and give it away. Let them worry about the calories. (If you take it to yours you will be tempted ... )0 -
I had been doing really well also. Then Halloween rolled around and I found myself reaching into the candy bucket far too often. Then one night, after I had polished off a few snickers and milky way bars, I found myself staring at the empty wrappers asking why I was doing this to myself when I had worked soooo hard to get where I was. I haven't touched them since. It's hard, the candy buckets are still sitting in my back room but if I want something sweet, I just have some fruit or a chocolate protein shake. It helps. You can do it. If need be, get rid of the candy. Does your family really need it anyway?0

log every single one that you eat. After a while when you see the calories disappearing by the hundreds you'll find your will power :-)0

I had to have my husband hide the candy from me because it was just sitting there and I was giving in way too much. I was just going to say though, that if you really want to keep it, stick it in the freezer. Then when you think you want a piece you can pull it out but you have to wait for it to thaw, usually by that time your brain has had a turn around. It's worked in the past for me.0

One good thing about halloween candy is most people give out those "fun size" or "mini" candy bars that are 75-100 calories. Just tell yourself you can only have ONE.0
