Cider Info

I bought cider for my husband & calories are 110 per an 8 oz serving.Isn't an apple around 100 cals.

The apple comes with fiber & other good things.Years ago there was a magazine article saying
cider & apple juice are one & the same. Some grade schools no longer have apple juice on the menu.

A neighbor said she drinks apple juice in place of water ....but she also says she can't lose wt.

Juice in general is a waste of calories in my opinion. Once in awhile on a really cold day I will treat myself to some hot spiced cider. Other then that, it's not worth the sugar and isn't filling at all. I'll stick with water and tea.

juices in general are loaded with sugar. If all natural and no sugar is added its still a very high content of Fruit sugar. If all she is drinking is fruit juice in place of water Id guess her body is using that easy sugar as energy and NEVER touching her fat stores.

Also a standard juice serving is generally not 8 oz id check that and make sure its not 4 oz.

I don't drink juice. It has as much sugar as soda. You're better off eating the whole fruit and having a glass of water.

If I'm gonna drink my calories, I want alcohol ;)

Cider is unpasteurized apple juice. We make it every fall with the apples that won't keep. You press it the cider and cook it and it's apple juice. Same calories.
