I don't count on exercise to moderate my weight. I eat for the weight I am (I'm in maintenance) and exercise is a bonus. There's lots of things you can do inside and if it's not raining, sleeting, hailing, a blizzard, you can always dress for the temperature and get outside.

I take my workouts indoors with at-home workout DVDs so I don't have to leave the house! LOL

Also, working out will warm you up big time so if I'm really cold a good, sweaty workout is just what I need! :)

Bust out the winter clothes and get going. The faster you move the warmer you will be....Thats Motivation at its finest.
  • I still get out there. Actually it's about 30 here right now and I ust came in from a quick mile walk at lunch. I actually enjoy and perfer running in colder weather. I think there is a diffence in having to and wanting to. I want to.

I've been doing workout DVDs instead of my usual 5:30 AM walks. Here in Boston, the weather has been all over the place so even though it's in the 30's today, we're expected to get up to the 60's by the enod of the week which is great. On the cold days though, I try and walk while the sun is up.

Good luck! I know it stinks to lose outdoor exercising as an option.

I'm as active outside in the winter as I am in the summer....

Basketball, Shoveling, Skiing, Hockey, Kid's Hockey, Ice Rink in the back yard, town outdoor rink once in a while......and normal gym time.
