Go see a doctor and don't eat it anymore until you know what the problem is.

If you have pain on eating anything for a few days, for heaven's sake go to the doctor! I ate a delicious lobster roll while out shopping once. That night I got very sick to my stomach. Still sick the next day. Sparing the gory details-- emergency room/discomfort/ specialists/outpatient surgery.,,, out of commission way too long, as in weeks. Screwed up my appetite and then I couldn't eat hardly anything for too long. Derailed MFP efforts for months not to mention ruined all exercise progress!.
You don't know whether this is an ulcer, parasite or anything else. If I can save one person from what I went through, it's worth the time it takes to write this.. There are tons of over the counter stomach meds that won't do a damn thing for you, so don't waste time. If it's noticeably painful and persists, get a professional diagnosis.

Maybe you are eating the rice too fast? That's the only thing I can think of?
My advice- don't eat rice if it makes you feel that way!!
^^^^ THIS!! Just ate rice an hour ago, ate too fast and got a terrible pain!! Let's both take this advise

Again, I eat incredibly SLOWLY. I take FOREVER to finish a meal. Please read the entire thread before making assumptions and assuming you've solved the problem.

When pain is involved, especially when you feel like you can be "dying" it's a good time to see a doctor. The worst thing it can be is cancer but only way to know is to see your doctor. My guess is the doc is going to press on your organs to see if he can recreate the pain. If he can't recreate the pain, he's going to suggest it could be something to deal with stomach acid. Usually that's how they diagnose, by guessing it's the most common least dangerous problem first. What you can do to help make the diagnosis more accurate is to recreate the symptoms/pain right before seeing your doctor, that way he's bound to be more accurate in his diagnosis.

If it's that severe get thee hence to a doctor, woman!! Someone mentioned a GI gastro doc and I think that's a good idea. Ask for a referral from your primary.

It could be a number of things from gallstones, reflux, or diverticulitis...ect.

I'd be curious to see if it's actually an allergic reaction to rice as it's a pretty hypoallergenic grain, but you never know.

No referrals needed. I scheduled an appointment with a gastroenterologist for this week.

Lately I've been getting severe pain after eating rice (Usually Brown & White mixed, or sometimes just white). I don't know what's going on, but the pain is pretty intense. It feels like the rice just sits in my stomach for hours and I can practically feel each individual grain poking my stomach lining...or something like that.

I don't usually have the pain when I eat other things. I mean I always feel full after eating, and my digestion/emptying is the worst, but I manage.

Just now I ate some diced baked sweet potatoes and split pea soup. I feel FULL, but I do not feel the intense "OMG I'm close to death" pain I feel when I eat rice. It sucks because lately I've really been craving rice but I can't deal with that feeling.

    Has anyone else experienced this?
